Regulatory Advisers
Regulatory Advisers is a boutique law firm built around a single conviction: today, regulatory compliance is not merely an obligation, but a source of genuine competitive advantage. We specialize in financial market regulatory law and compliance — areas where EU and national laws intertwine into a dense, constantly evolving landscape that demands both legal precision and a deep understanding of supervisory realities.
Our practice centers on the most demanding regimes of modern regulation: the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) for the financial sector, cybersecurity for essential and important entities (NIS2), artificial intelligence governance (AI Act), personal data protection (GDPR), the financial instruments market, and anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT).
We view these regimes not as isolated islands, but as interconnected layers of a single regulatory landscape — because a single incident or transaction rarely produces consequences confined to the boundaries of a single piece of legislation.
The firm is led by Dr. Bartosz Bacia, attorney-at-law (radca prawny) and PhD in Law. Bartosz’s experience blends advisory practice gained at renowned law firms and Big4 companies — where he led implementation projects in compliance, risk management, AML, ICT security, and personal data protection (GDPR) for regulated entities — with the perspective of a regulator, shaped during his tenure in executive roles within the financial market supervisory authority and his involvement in drafting capital market regulations. On an international level, as Vice-Chair of the OECD Corporate Governance Committee, he participated in the development of the G20/OECD Principles of Corporate Governance, and he is also a co-author of the UN Global Compact’s “Anti-Corruption Standard for Business.”
